Lathe Slitting

Our lathe-slitting capability enables us to cut larger master log rolls of material (adhesive or non-adhesive) up to 2000mm wide down to widths as narrow as 6mm.

As our production is automated, our lathe slitting service enables us to deliver an efficient and quality driven service for customers looking to convert both adhesive and non-adhesive rolls for production and resale purposes.

For clients operating in the banner and display markets, our accurate lathe slitting service helps reduce waste by trimming rolls to the exact needs of various wide format production printers.

Our lathe slitter has an inbuilt lubrication system enabling us to slit a wide variety of media types with accuracy whilst protecting the core media from damage.

Lathe Slitting:

  • Maximum width 1600mm – max roll width 2000mm (first cut at 1600mm)
  • Minimum slit width 6mm to 4mm dependant on roll diameter and media type
  • Maximum roll diameter 200mm
  • 76mm 3″ ID core only

WHAT IS LATHE SLITTING?

Lathe Slitting is the process of spinning a log of media, whether adhesive or non-adhesive.  Our Lathe slitting process incorporates a driven or non-driven blade and automatic lubrication facilities to suit the media type being processed. The blade slices the media to the specified width (widths) according to requirements.

Our fully programmable lathe slitter can generate a variety of widths from a single roll ensuring clients have the flexibility to minimise wastage and get the product you need without compromise. This type of slitting is best suited to small diameter rolls and narrow slit widths.
